Animals! Who doesn’t love them! Animals are cute, sweet and always in the right mood to play. Besides that, we humans just love animals. They make us laugh and we usually find a true friend in them. So here are some fun facts about animals that you didn’t know!
Otters
Besides the fact that otters often make sure that dams are built and sometimes entire nature reserves are preserved, there is a cute fact about otters that not many people know about. Otters hold hands when they go to sleep. This to prevent them from drifting away from each other.

Another species that is personally responsible for the conservation of nature reserves and sometimes entire stretches of forest, is the squirrel. A squirrel is by nature a rather forgetful animal. As a result, thousands of new trees grow every year, simply because the squirrel forgets where it has put its nuts.
Another nice fact about squirrels is that they are able to adopt other baby squirrels if they are left behind.

The panda; an animal that is very important in Asia and especially in China. In China, killing a panda is forbidden by law. You can even get the death penalty for it.

Then there’s our cows. Not only are cows known to have a real best friend, but they also produce a lot more milk when they listen to classical music. A study showed that cows that listen to classical music produce more milk than they do when they don’t. This is a good thing. Especially the song ‘Everybody Hurts’ by R.E.M. is doing well.
Then there is the faithful four-legged friend that many of us have in our house: the dog. Where people can be distinguished by means of a fingerprint, this is the case with our faithful companion by means of their nose.
